Storm + Connor

Storm and I met over twenty years ago in Arabi, Louisiana where our families lived around the corner from one another. From that day forward we became the best of friends and shared so much together, we would ride our electric scooters— her scooter was pink and mine was red—up and down our neighborhood streets with our favorite Build-A-Bear strapped to the back of them. When Hurricane Katrina made land fall in 2005 and destroyed our hometown, our close friendship became long distance for a few years. Sometimes we’d go months without talking, but the moment we reunited it was like no time had past! Over the years, Storm has stood next to me on my wedding day, became the Godmother to my children, graduated from LSU with a Doctorate in Veterinarian Medicine, and is now getting married to the man of her dreams!

This engagement session was as sweet as it looks! We spent Sunday evening with Storm and Connor in downtown Covington at Columbia Street Landing and the unique, rustic surrounding locations you can only find in this town. From the moment they locked eyes in a County Western Bar two years ago and he asked her to dance, they’ve been inseparable! This past spring Connor asked Storm to be his wife, and this fall they’ll be saying “I do” at the beautiful Berry Barn in Amite, Louisiana! I can honestly say there is no one better suited to be her person than this patient and kind man, and I am so honored to be standing by her side as she marries Connor. Because just like Storm, Connor has a loving heart and has shown nothing but love and respect for my family and especially my children, and with that I am extremely grateful to have him be a part of our lives!
