Aschebrock Wedding

Almost nine years ago, my husband and I got married at this amazing venue hidden in the heart of our small town! This past Saturday, Taz—one of my longest friends from childhood, and his beautiful bride, Bri, got married at the same gem I did all those years earlier. The day may have been rainy and cold at The Henry Smith House in Picayune, Mississippi, but that did not stop Bri and Taz’s family and friends from making it a great celebration of their love for one another. Bri and her bridesmaids got ready in the Victorian home on the property that was built in the early 1900s, and is filled with historic and priceless antiques throughout! While Taz and his groomsmen were hanging out in the rustic cabin on the property not far from the main house.

Before Bri and Taz had their first look, they stood back to back on the wrap around porch and recited their personal vows to one another that had us all in tears. The moment that really had our mascara running down our face was when after they read their vows, Taz turned around to see his beautiful bride for the first time and took all of our breaths away with his reaction! Grab some tissues for the many happy tears you’ll cry as you scroll through the images below.

A table was decorated with all of Bri and Taz’s loved ones pictures that are no longer with us, and among those angels are Bri’s dad—Denis, and Taz’s dad—Mark. They placed items that memorialized their dads all around the venue and even on themselves. Wrapped around Bri’s bouquet was one of her father’s neck ties, creating a beautiful accent to the colors in the floral arrangement she chose. And Taz was gifted a pin with his father’s picture on a charm that he placed on his suit jacket over his left pocket to keep him close to his heart throughout the day. Aside from items to remember those that have passed, Bri surprised Taz with engraved cufflinks of their precious fur-babies, Astro and Pinky.

After Bri and Taz shared their first dance as husband and wife, Bri also shared a special dance with both her mom and sister—who chose Lonestar ‘I’m already there’ to dance to which started my eyes to water. When the song ended, Bri dedicate the next song to her dad, and as she was swaying to the music all of her loved ones started surrounding her causing even more tears to fall from our eyes. Many tears may have been shed throughout this day, but it sure did end with lots of dancing and laughter!!

I want to wish the loving couple a HUGE congratulations again!! I’m so happy for you both!

xoxo!
